My approach to therapy is strength-based and solution focused. In order to develop your personal strengths, we will include aspects of various therapies including cognitive based, narrative, art, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapies. The skills you develop in therapy are to help you navigate daily life and allow you to develop a growth mindset.
I began my career as a psychiatric nurse and worked in forensic facilities, group homes, and hospitals. After many years in the field of nursing, I completed a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology.
Through my nursing and clinical experiences, I have had the pleasure of working with clients from a range of backgrounds. As a result of these experiences, I specialize in supporting the needs of clients who identify as Native American and/or multi-racial. I support the use of healing traditions in therapy, and am happy to learn more about your preferences.
